Captain Falcon, also known as the Falcon guy, Captain Hotdog and Douglas Jay Falcon, (キャプテン・ファルコン, Kyaputen Farukon) is a character in Nintendo's F-Zero series of video games, co-created by Takaya Imamura and Shigeru Miyamoto. The character first appeared in the instruction manual of F-Zero, published in 1990.

He is a futuristic racer from Port Town, and is also a legendary bounty hunter, feared and respected by criminals and civilians alike.

One of his trademark moves, the Falcon Punch is a slow but powerful attack that can knock out and/or deliver damage to opponents easily. It was first seen in Super Smash Bros., and was later popularised in the 2003 anime F-Zero: GP Legend. The Punch later escalated to meme status when some guy uploaded a thirty-six-second video of the Captain's infamous right hook.
